I Get By With A Little Help From My Friend...

I am very relieved to inform you that my days of working my ass off is about to be over and somehow I am a little saddened and afraid. My work will be measured and compared. People will read it, got thrilled by it, and they either love it or hate it. I have been crossing my fingers ever since day one. And boy does that hurt...

Ah well, I needed a little trip to the magazine rack. Flip through pages of fashion spread and linger longer or worse, imagined what would my interpretation would be like. I daydreamed a lot every time I saw a good fashion spread. Smiled if it was a good one. Frown a little when it's a bad one. If it is that good, I would stop and my eyes would wander somewhere else and actually got lost in my own world. For those of you who think I am a freak...I DON'T CARE.

This fashion spread is from British Vogue on their April 2008 issue. I love how it's dreamy and sort of fairy like, even though it's odd and weird and dark at the same time. Tim Walker is a very good photographer and Karen Elson is not just a random model. She is the right one for this story. I bet they work very well together.
*The only thing that bothers me was the flat shoes. Why??*

Almost every fashion spread I've seen that involves Jessica Stam was ever a bad one. I think she's adorable. I think she looked like a kid fresh out of Junior High school. I can't even explain how she looks like. I just like her. Period. And apparently I think a lot of people think so too. Even Marc Jacobs named a bag after her. What a lucky girl...

I honestly think that this girl is getting better every time I see her in the pages of a magazine. I never liked her before, specially from her Dawson's Creek years. Yuck. No offense! But look at her now. She still looks like she's 14 years old, yet she had a daughter. I don't know exactly what it is that make her look angelic, cute and sexy without being raunchy and matronly. Everything about her is perfect. She had perfect skin complexion, perfect hair color, perfect haircut, and most important of all, PERFECT STYLE. It is either her stylist is super smart or she is one stylish mama. Michelle Williams, I adore you....

WOW. I think this is amazing. Growing up with a brother whose passion is graffiti, who ended up being one of the well-known graffiti artist in my town, I think it's amazing how this fashion spread from French Vogue x KAWS stands out amongst the other fashion spread I saw with a graffiti in the back ground. I love how the background clashed with the high end couture wear. And I love how the graffiti it self doesn't only stand in the shadow, instead they pop out as much as the model and the outfits. WOW....

Although I am super glad that the deadline has passed (or almost, I'm not really sure), I am kinda excited to wait for the next issue. I can't wait until the first editorial meeting, of which the chief editor is going to declare it's next concept for our magazine. I have jitters in my stomach. La la la la....I am going nuts!
